Visit Overview
Appointment Pricing
$25 (Women's Midlife Center appointment)
$40 (Women's Midlife Center appointment in conjunction with Women's Heart Center Cardiovascular Risk Assessment)
Prior to the Appointment Date
Each woman will complete a comprehensive Health Risk Assessment (HRA) tailored specifically to middle age issues. The assessment addresses family medical history, personal health history, medications, diet, exercise, smoking, stress, and current symptoms.
Upon Arrival
The patient will be weighed and their Body Mass Index (BMI) will be calculated based on height and weight. A finger stick will assess the patient's total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and glucose. Staff will integrate screening results into the Health Risk Assessment (HRA), which will produce a 14-page Personal Wellness Profile that is used to guide the education and consultation for the remainder of the visit. Personal issues, concerns, or symptoms will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Resources and references pertinent to further preventive screenings and recommended medical intervention are provided, including the official North American Menopause Society (NAMS) menopause guidebook.
